Story tips

If something has happened to your money that you think other people should know about — a scam that nearly worked, a bank fee that appeared out of nowhere, a benefit letter nobody can explain — write to us. We read every one.

We will not publish your name or any detail that identifies you without asking you first.

To be clear about what is not for sale: coverage. No advertiser or affiliate partner sees an article before it is published, and none has editorial input. Approaches that begin with an offer to pay for a mention will not get a reply.

Response time

We are a small operation. Corrections get looked at the same day. Everything else may take a few days. If a message is about a scam in progress and money you are about to lose, do not wait for us — contact your bank, and report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or the FBI at IC3.gov.

We cannot give financial, legal, or tax advice, and we cannot advise on your individual situation. Please do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers, or passwords — we do not need them, and no legitimate organization will ask you for them by email.
